Who made the cathode ray experiment5/15/2023 ![]() The rays would not enter the cylinders unless deflected by a magnetic field. When a high potential difference was applied between the cathode (A in the diagram) and anode (B in the diagram), cathode rays, which were produced in the left tube, emitted from the cathode and entered into the main bell jar. The outer cylinder was grounded while inner was attached to an electrometer to detect any electric current as shown in the figure below. The cylinders were coaxial placed and insulated from each other. The experiment apparatus consisted of two metal cylinders. In the final experiment, he succeeded in measuring mass to charge ratio. In the first, the magnetic effect on cathode rays was studied while in the second, the rays were deflected by an electric field. His entire works can be divided into three different experiments. He concluded that the rays were comprised of particles. The immaterial nature and the aetherial hypothesis of cathode rays were proved wrong by J. According to some, the rays are due to some process in the aether. Many diverse opinions were held on these rays.

Highlight cover5/15/2023 ![]() I just sat down for 15-20 minutes and made all the ones that I thought I might use in the future. So sometimes I had to roll the little dice in the corner a few time to get the same font and design so that all of my covers are cohesive.Įven with having to roll a couple times it was a very quick process to make up a whole bunch of these. The trick to doing these in Word Swag is that some of the fonts, like Lumber Jack, change each time you change the text. When choosing a font a click it and then click a couple variations to see if there’s something I like. Then you can select any of the fonts and variations from the bottom bar. Then you’re going to click next and it will show you your cropped image with a sample text. This is perfect for your Instagram stories. Once you have chosen your background image crop it to 9 x 16. You can search for more images by typing in the search bar at the top. You want to open the app and choose an image either from your phone or from their gallery. I made my current covers with an app called Word Swag. Now that they are saved scroll down to Adding to Instagram to see how to get them in your highlights. I have a folder in my Google Drive that I just put all my Instagram stuff that I have made on my computer. Once you have them all done save them and then upload them to somewhere you can get to them on your device. ![]() ![]() I think if I change mine to icons at some point I will use The Noun Project or Icon Finder to get a bunch of cohesive icons for less than paying $1 individually. There are a lot of free options but a lot are paid as well. You can use shapes, or icons, colors, or even just have black and white with text. This is the size that will work the great in your Instagram stories.Ĭanva has tons of different backgrounds, fonts, and design elements to make some really cute covers. The size you want to use is 1080 px by 1920 px. You’re going to want to create a template that is a custom size. ![]() If you want to use your computer I would recommend using Canva. On the computerįirst, we’re going to talk real quick about on your computer. Today I’m going to show you two different ways to create these covers. You can do it with your computer or just an app on your phone. Guess what? Those are super simple to create yourself. ♥įirst, tap + icon to add an Instagram Highlight Cover.Have you seen those big Instagram accounts that have the really pretty covers for their Instagram story highlights? They’re all fairly simple, but they give a very cohesive look to their Instagram profile page. There is no limit to the number of Highlight Covers we can add and use.Īdding Highlight Covers is a quick and easy process. When I share an Instagram Story that I’d like to keep in my profile, I’ll add it to its relevant Highlight Cover. Highlighting these topics give viewers an instant snapshot of the content I typically focus on and share. I use four Highlight Covers ~ 1) Poetry, 2) Design, 3) Blogging and 4) Tutorials. We can arrange and orderly showcase topics we focus on so viewers know what content we’re sharing. Tada… benefit!Īnother benefit of using beautifully designed Highlight Covers is they instantly make our profile look professional. However, after 24 hours they disappear unless we save them to our Highlights. Unlike Instagram posts that are 1080 x 1080 pixels and remain in our profile feed, Instagram Stories are displayed at the top of the Instagram feed (with our profile image) for 24 hours. ![]()

Best 1player pc games5/15/2023 ![]() ![]() Elite Dangerousįortnite is the ultimate video game playground. Mike Mahardyĭwarf Fortress is available on Windows PC, Mac, and Linux via the Bay 12 Games website, with a new version coming soon to Steam. Playing Dwarf Fortress may not turn you into the most benevolent god - the dwarves have free will, after all - but you’ll almost never get bored. The comments on this video are full of similar instances of emergent simulation (ranging from disturbing to hilarious) and they showcase how deep, absurd, and wonderful Dwarf Fortress has the potential to get during any given playthrough. After beginning the construction and management in each new randomly generated world, you set about growing your colony and observing, as any number of unforeseen factors can go well or very, very wrong.Īs explored in this excellent Eurogamer video by Chris Bratt (who went on to found People Make Games), Dwarf Fortress is so nuanced and complex that a colony’s cats have been known to die en masse because they had walked through the puke of drunken dwarves, proceeded to lick their paws clean, and promptly died. ![]() You’ll also have to take the attributes of each of your seven starting dwarves into account - their skill sets, physical characteristics, and mental dispositions. What the title doesn’t tell you is that you’ll have to consider the region’s soil type, elevation, and weather patterns. If you’re ever in the mood to play god, you can do a lot worse than playing Dwarf Fortress.Īs the title might suggest, this is a simulation/management game about building, optimizing, overseeing, and, accidentally or not, destroying a fortress full of dwarves. The new, more legible version of Dwarf Fortress, coming to Steam sometime soon Image: Bay 12 Games/Kitfox Games In a world filled with hobby games that you can play for years without stopping - especially on PC - Destiny 2 is worth all the time you’re willing to put into it.ĭestiny 2 is available on Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. 2022 not only saw the series’ best expansion yet, but it also delivered an excellent story and added new weapons the likes of which players have never seen. Remarkably, Destiny 2 is only getting better. What makes that fun and not tedious, however, is Bungie’s extremely smooth gameplay, which can remain fun thousands of hours and nearly a full decade later. Each of these different activities then provides its own unique rewards, creating an endless loop of grinding new activities for new weapons, which you’ll then use to grind the next season’s content. Now, the studio has one of the most well-supported live-service games in 2022.Įvery few months, Destiny 2 gets a new season or expansion, adding missions, activities, and endgame content like raids. But in the eight years that it’s existed, Bungie has drastically improved the formula via multiple expansions and a complete sequel. The Destiny franchise has had some rough patches, and was met with mixed reception at its initial launch. Destiny 2ĭestiny 2 combines a typical loot-based shooter with Bungie’s best-in-class gunplay, and the result is one of the greatest MMOs on the market. Without further ado, here are the 13 best PC games you can download on your PC today. ![]() Meanwhile, if you’re one of the lucky ones who has gotten their hands on Valve’s handheld, we have a separate list for the best games on Steam Deck. Some of these are available on other platforms, and some are just as good with a controller as a mouse and keyboard. To answer that question - or rather, to show how superfluous that question has become - the Polygon staff has compiled a list of the games that define the exciting, amorphous experience of playing games on PC in 2022. But it’s also created a burning question: What makes a “PC game” in 2022? It’s helped make more types of games available to more players, which is a net positive. It’s the platform video games were born on, and it’s played host to dozens of genres that are still popular today - some of which are still barely playable without a mouse and keyboard.Īs the world of console gaming has caught up with that of PC games from a technical perspective, the identity of a “PC game” has been muddied. PC gaming has always been about pushing technological boundaries. ![]()

Snapper throats5/15/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() Slice it off, flatten out, and voila you have the throat. Snapper Almondine Fried Or Broiled 27.95 Topped with roasted almonds and butter Snapper & Crabmeat 29.95 Fillet of snapper topped with hump crabmeat served with a creamy lemon butter sauce Fried Snapper Throats 23.95 A Bright Star Favourite - Succulent Fish Fillet of Snapper Fried Or Broiled 26. At this point, you should be able to pull both sides forward and the only attachment is where the gills meet at the underside of the fish. Once this area is disjointed, then cut away the gills on that side and repeat on the other side. lt takes a little practice, but after 2 or 3, it gets easier. I love snapper, grouper, redfish throats. Cut it in half between the pectoral fins. Look just behind the gill plate about midway up the fish-about even with the lateral line of the fish and you will find a small "joint", slide you knife under that and work it lose. Perhaps shrimp throats, aka spiders, are among the more common and likely the easiest to go mainstream. Take the throat out and lay it down with the skin facing down. Fillet the fish like you normally would to begin with. Within the mixed daily bag limit, you cannot exceed the stated individual species daily bag limit. So for those who do not know what the "throat" is or how to remove it, l will start there. 2 fish 1 baldchin groper + 1 pink snapper OR 2 fish 2 pink snapper (but no other demersal fish). So thanks up front to all who have shared their redfish recipes/pix/etc. Couldn't find very much specific information as far as a recipe, so basically adapted some of the tips l found here on redfish on the half shell, since l planned to grill them. ![]() |
